African Bush Camps specialises in providing authentic experiences across Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Superb service comes as standard! The accommodation is booked on a full-board basis, including all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, two game-viewing activities daily, transfers between the camp and the local airstrip, and a laundry service.

Set within the Okavango Delta’s community-run Khwai Concession, this beautiful camp is tucked under the trees on the edge of the Khwai River. This river is all that separates the iconic Moremi Game Reserve and the concession, with hippos, elephants and even lions crossing over from time to time.
The camp hosts six luxury tents and one luxury family tent, keeping in line with the intimate and exclusive wilderness experience. The new camp effortlessly bridges the gap between luxury accommodation and feeling like you’re in the great African outdoors. Woven baskets and beaded décor, along with modern elements, create an authentic contemporary African style.
Khwai’s biggest drawcard is undoubtedly the plentiful and extraordinary wildlife – you’ll never be bored here! Adventure and relaxation are on offer as guests live out their ultimate safari experience – from setting off on a morning walking safari to enjoying a gin and tonic overlooking the Khwai River.
Linyanti Bush Camp
Linyanti Bush Camp is situated on the banks of Linyanti Marsh in a private reserve which borders the western boundary of Chobe in the Chobe Enclave. The marshes are the only water source for miles around and attract water-adapted and desert-adapted wildlife, plus large numbers of birds.
Linyanti Bush Camp is an intimate camp with 6 luxury tents on the banks of the Linyanti Marsh. The elevated communal area offers a cosy lounge, bar and dining area, as well as a pool, with beautiful views of the unique Linyanti landscape.
Linyanti is best known for its large populations of elephant and buffalo that congregate in vast numbers especially during the dry season. Other wildlife encounters include lion, leopard, wild dog, the rare and elusive sitatunga antelope, hippo and crocodile. The area also offers spectacular birding all year round. The area's relative remoteness makes it a favoured wild safari destination and one of the best sought after areas in Northern Botswana.

Other wildlife encounters include Lion, sable, roan, leopard, wild dog, the rare and elusive sitatunga antelope, red lechwe, hippo and crocodile, as well as other species of plains game. Bumi Hills Safari Lodge boasts one of Africa’s finest wilderness locations in Zimbabwe with an elevated position on a range of remote hills overlooking the vastness of Lake Kariba. Bumi is situated near the North Eastern border of the Matusadona National Park and is easily accessible by light aircraft and boat, allowing you to be swiftly transported into paradise without the stress of a long journey.
The safari lodge has a total of 10 rooms, all with balconies and uninhibited views over Lake Kariba. Taking centre stage is the beautiful infinity pool that seems to blend endlessly into the lake horizon. The pool is surrounded by intimate wine and dining terraces on different levels. The lodge interiors have been beautifully finished in a fusion of contemporary western and African styles.
Not only is Kariba’s shoreline rich in wildlife but the lodge’s proximity to Matusadona allows for the animals roam freely between the national park and Bumi Hills’ private concession. Activities include guided walking safaris, stargazing, boating, birding, catch-and-release fishing, day and night game drives searching for lions in particular, as well as engaging cultural visits to our nearby local community.
Set in the breathtaking, untouched wilds of the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia, Lolebezi is the latest property in the African Bush Camps family and will undoubtably be one of the most spectacular.
Located in the remote Eastern area of the park, the lodge has been designed to make the most of the one kilometre of private river frontage. Waking up with the majestic Zambezi River flowing just in front of your room is a truly exceptional experience!
The Lower Zambezi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has some of the best wildlife sightings in the world. Famous for its leopard population and elephant herds, this amazing destination is best experienced on foot with one of African Bush Camps’ experienced guides. Nyamatusi is African Bush Camps’ third camp in Mana Pools National Park and is located in the Nyamatusi Wilderness area. The park itself exudes a feeling of beauty, an untouched wilderness. Mana Pools offers a diversity of different wildlife and bird species, including the endangered and rare wild dog. The Zambezi River itself is famous for its large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles.
Nyamatusi Camp is situated on the banks of the renowned Zambezi River and is a representation of the surrounding environment. The camp is reminiscent of days gone by and is inspired by nature. Nyamatusi comprises of 6 spacious and well-appointed tents, each with its own private deck and plunge pool, offering remote views overlooking the Zambezi.
Watch the drama of nature play out before your eyes on game drives or thrilling canoeing safaris. Fishing on the Zambezi River (catch and release only) and birding safaris are highlights here. All these activities are included in your stay and led by qualified and passionate guides keen to share their knowledge and love of the bush with you.
Thorntree River Lodge
Thorntree River Lodge is set in Zambia’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, just a short distance from the famous Victoria Falls. Thorntree River Lodge has been completely rebuilt with an environmentally-conscious design. Drawing inspiration from local customs and culture, it is a modern contemporary design with tented roof structures to maintain the feel of authentic Africa.
The lodge boasts 12 twin rooms with 2 sets of interleading units. Each unit has its own indoor and outdoor bathrooms, as well as a luxurious private plunge pool. The main lodge consists of a lounge with an open dining area, where the fine dining experience of African cuisine will come to life. A gym and spa overlook the mighty Zambezi River, and there is a small library with WIFI for our guests’ convenience. The communal deck is set on the edge of the stunning riverside, and is home to a sunken boma area and an infinity pool. Wooden decking floats on the edge of the river, and moves with the water level to create the illusion of sailing a boat, and help to achieve a seamless feel between river and land.
Hwange National Park is a land of contrasts from dense teak and acacia forest to vast open savannah, offering guests an exhibition of raw and diverse Africa. This intimate bush camp is perfect for a relaxing Hwange safari with friends and loved ones. Somalisa Camp is a place where tranquillity meets adventure. Where one moment you are sipping on your gin and tonic, listening to the distant baritone roar of a lion coalition off on the hunt, and the next you are gazing over at a congregation of elephants at your doorstep, peacefully sharing a sundowner with you. Every person is part of the community that helps create the magical and welcoming feeling you get when you visit Somalisa, you arrive as a guest, but you leave a part of the family.
Nature and luxury are in harmony at Somalisa Camp. With natural wood and copper finishes, the organic features of the bush fuse perfectly with the deluxe style. Kudhinda, the Zimbabwean national material, is paired with modern decor creating an authentic contemporary African fusion. At the edge of the expansive deck in the main area, sits an elephant pool which is frequented by elephant families, which is a true highlight at this beautiful camp.
