This boutique lodge offers 10 individual Owambo-style thatch and clay huts and are set in the heart of the Zannier Reserve, a 22,000-acre wildlife conservancy located half an hour from Windhoek.

Zannier – Sonop

Amidst the desert landscape Sonop offers a spectacular open-air infinity pool

Set within their own 13,800 private acres of untouched Namibian desert wilderness, Sonop lodge offers 10 tented suites and is constructed on top of granite boulders in authentic 1920’s British colonial style. Stretching from horizon to horizon, captivating beauty and boundless freedom surround you, with adventures from sunrise to sunset.

All tents have a Bluetooth-enabled sound-system, Nespresso machine, free daily restocked minibar, a kettle and selection of teas, free bottled water, air-conditioning and WiFi.

With 42sq m of playspace, ‘tent’ isn’t quite the right word for these canvas palaces.  Design recalls the explorers of yesteryear with an assortment of elegant antiques, including a four-poster bed, bureau, writing desk and wingbacks, throughout the bedroom and living areas. There’s a furnished private deck with a telescope and an ensuite bathroom with a roll-top bath tub and rainfall shower, twin sinks and dressing table.
